Nancy Totland's love of the natural world... of wildflowers, landscapes, butterflies and birds... led her to the medium of photography, capturing moments of beauty with the lens.
Nancy grew up in the heart of the city of St. Louis, but often visited her family's land in southeast Missouri and spent childhood vacations floating crystal clear Ozark streams, developing a connection to nature that would become her most enduring companion and solace.
She lived for thirteen years in the Pacific Northwest, spending two of those years on Lopez Island in the San Juan Archipelago, befriending mountains, seascapes, and cloudy days.
Returning to Missouri to be closer to family, Nancy worked for a conservation organization and discovered a love for wildflowers and the prairie landscape. She now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she is endlessly inspired by occasional clouds and the bare beauty of high desert.
